At the Longines Hong Kong Masters Belgium’s Pieter Devos, won the opening class, the Laiterie de Montaigu Trophy, on day two.
Devos held of six other riders in the jump off to win the CSI5* Table A 1.45m event on 12-year-old gelding Equipharma Dax van ‘Dabdijhoev in a time of 32.33 sec.
Germany’s Marco Kutscher finished second on van Gogh (0 pen 32.60 sec) and Dutch rider Maikel van der Vleuten was third aboard VDL Groep Eureka (0 pen 33.15).
UK legend Michael Whitaker, the Ukraine’s Katharina Offel and European Champion Roger Yves Bost were also placed in the highly competitive class.
